Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama acknowledged that he could not abolish PT Metromini. Because, it is the authority of Ministry of Law and Human Rights (HAM). Nevertheless, the city administration can control unworthy public transport, particularly Metromini.

He has instructed Jakarta Transportation Department to control unworthy Metromini which aims to create public order.

He wants unworthy public transports to be eliminated. "Certainly, today, I've told Transportation Department, I don't want to see unworthy public transport operates in the city," he asserted.
In future, he will replace Metromini with Transjakarta bus. While resident, is asked to be patient waiting for arrival of new buses.
